I'm an author, born and raised in South Wimbledon. My passion for creative writing began early and developed further during my studies in Film and Television with English Literature at Brunel University. After graduating, I moved from London to Cairo, where I worked as a news reporter and English teacher during part of President Hosni Mubarak's regime. During my time there, I travelled across Egypt and grew especially fond of Saint Catherine, Alexandria, and Cairo.

In 2014, I returned to the UK to continue my education. I went on to earn a PGCE in English from the UCL Institute of Education in 2016. Since then, I have taught in London schools and mentored new teachers, sharing my experience and passion for learning. Through this book, I aim to offer readers a sense of inspiration.

I now live in London with my family. The Light in Her is my debut novel.
